Dhal Makhani is a favourite from the Punjab regions & is made with black urad lentils & red kidney beans. This kit includes all the raw lentils & beans needed and a premium Dhal Makhani Tarka gravy to make this traditional Dhal perfect, every time! This dhal is luscious & satisfying.
Simply boil the Tarka gravy with water in a fry pan & add to lentils that have been cooked in a slow cooker – it’s that easy!
This Tarka can get you to make either a DRY dhal ideal for salads, wraps and pita pockets, or a GRAVY dhal that goes great with basmati rice, naan or breads.
NB: If you want to make a GRAVY dhal, you can add all the water at the beginning and cook. Once the dhal is cooked, add creams slowly as required to reach the right consistency.
