Simply boil the Tarka gravy base with water in a fry pan & add to beans that have been cooked in a slow cooker – it’s that easy!
his Tarka can get you to make either a DRY dhal ideal for salads, wraps and pita pockets, or a GRAVY dhal that goes great with basmati rice, naan or breads.
NB: If you want to make a GRAVY dhal, you can add all the water at the beginning while cooking the lentils. Once the dhal is cooked, add creams slowly as required to reach the right consistency.
